April 2017 | Easter Break
I spent my Easter break at Amaze Ltd. I had the opportunity of watching one of the teams work on an Emirates rebranding project, which gave me a clearer idea of what working in a collaborative work space with a team of developers looks like. I was personally given a project to work on in order to stretch my knowledge by trying Java script for the first time.
2018 | Half Term Break
2016 - 2018
Modules covered:
2021 - Present
Modules covered:
Project 1 : Business Website
The first project I worked on was a website for my freelancing business. I decided that I needed a way to advertise my services, and so I developed Xaultron. A business website for my web development services at the time
Project 2 : Care Home Website
The second project I worked on was a website for a client who had just opened up a care home for the elderly and needed a digital footprint for her business. This project threw me in the deep end; It was a little too big for me at the time, but looking back in hindsight, I lived up to my client's expectations and simultaneously managed to exceed my own. I learnt on the job and managed to submit the project as well as all revisions before the agreed deadline. Here are some of the responsibilities I undertook for this project :
Project 3 : Job Application Form
The third project I worked on was through a referral from my above mentioned client. This project was for a fully validated form for a client who owned a care agency and wanted job applications to be done online as his agency was beginning to grow exponentially. I designed & developed a HTML & CSS form, and validated it using Javascript. I also worked on ensuring that upon submission, all details will be sent to the admin's email as an attachament using a few lines of of Node JS
After doing freelance work, I felt like I needed a new challenge. With that in mind, I decided to persue software engineering through attaining a BSc in Computer Science which is what I am currently doing
